Privacy Policy

Privacy principles for family safety.

Last updated August 16, 2026. This policy explains what KidoFence may process and why.

1. Who this policy covers

KidoFence public pages, guardian accounts, the protected web portal and family-safety services. KidoFence is intended for parents and guardians using the service lawfully for family safety and parental control.

2. Information KidoFence may process

Depending on enabled features, KidoFence may process guardian account information, family and child profile information, device identifiers and status, precise or background location, route history, saved places, app-usage and control data, web-filtering policy data, SOS session information, support communications and serious safety-risk events. Camera and microphone data are associated with the visible child-initiated SOS flow when required permissions are granted.

3. Smart safety alerts

KidoFence is designed to minimize unnecessary exposure of private conversations. Non-risk text and highly sensitive fields such as passwords, OTPs and payment fields should not be retained as ordinary monitoring history. A serious alert may include minimal relevant or redacted context needed to explain the risk.

4. How information is used

Information is used to provide family accounts, device pairing, safety controls, location features, emergency response, reports, notifications, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention and support.

5. Communication and infrastructure

Live communication prefers an encrypted direct parent-child route when network conditions permit. Service infrastructure may still handle authentication, signaling, coordination, state synchronization, notifications and limited fallback metadata needed to provide the service.

6. Payments

When paid checkout is enabled, a payment processor may collect payment credentials and transaction information under its own terms. KidoFence should not receive or store a customer's full card number or CVV solely to process a standard hosted checkout.

7. Retention and deletion

KidoFence aims to retain information only as long as needed for the relevant feature, account, safety record, security requirement or legal obligation. Account deletion guidance is published separately. Limited records may be retained for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting or other legal obligations.

8. Security

KidoFence uses authenticated access controls and encrypted network transport for protected service traffic. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy and lawful parental use

KidoFence is designed for parents and guardians responsible for a child or supervised family device. Guardians are responsible for required notice or consent in their jurisdiction.

10. Contact

Privacy, access or deletion questions can be sent to [email protected].
